Around 1976, the previous stag embargo was lifted and Case reintroduced genuine stag as a handle material. Case commemorated the event with a series of four special blade etches. Among collectors, the favorite blade etch in that series was the Blue Scroll etch. The current stag embargo has been in place for over eight years. Finally, the Indian government has released the stockpiles of pre-embargo stag that were already collected and in process before the ban. This has allowed Case to once again produce pocketknives with genuine India stag handle scales.
